How FareDice works
The fares
Every night we read the cheapest non-stop fares that people searching on Aviasales found, from about 240 European airports, for each of the next 90 days. Aviasales keeps those prices for up to a week, so each fare shows how many days ago it was seen.
That cache holds roughly one day in ten of all flights, but it holds the cheap ones, because cheap fares are what people search for and find. When we re-checked 75 legs of our trips on the airline's own site, all 75 were still on sale and the total was 4% higher than cached. So every trip here is real and cheap, but it isn't every possible flight: an airline may have a cheaper day we haven't seen.
The trips
From where you start, we try every non-stop flight on your first days, then every flight onward after your chosen number of nights, and so on, keeping the cheapest partial trips at each step. Out of the finished trips we show ones that differ from each other, because the very cheapest ones tend to share the same few cities. "Roll the dice" picks at random from the good ones.
What to check before you book
- The price. "Check price" opens a live search on Aviasales for that flight. Fares change all the time; the live price is the real one.
- Bags. Low-cost fares include only a small bag under the seat. We add a typical cabin bag price per leg where we know it (Ryanair about €24, easyJet about €35, Wizz Air about €29: averages Which? found in December 2025). Real prices depend on the route and date.
- Airports. Some airports are sold under a city they're far from (Beauvais for Paris is about 70 km out). We flag any over 45 km from the city, and flag trips where you land at one airport and leave from another.
- Separate tickets. Each flight is its own booking. If one is late or cancelled, the next airline doesn't have to help. Leave slack where it matters.
- Entry rules. Check passport and visa rules for every country on the route before you book, including the Schengen 90-in-180-days limit if it applies to you.
How we earn money
"Check price" links go to Aviasales, which pays us a small share if you book there. It doesn't change the price you pay, and it doesn't change which trips we show: they're sorted by price alone. Booking straight with the airline is fine too.
